Former Mendota Heights Resident and Navy Man Dies
The memorial service for Austin J. Stibbe, 83, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10.
Austin Jule Stibbe, 83, of Nevis and formerly of Mendota Heights, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
"After serving as a supply officer in the U.S. Navy, he began his career as a CPA," according to his obituary from Jones-Pearson Funeral Home. "He was active in many organizations, including the Twin Cities Council of the Navy League, where he served as president; Minnesota Society of CPAs; Heritage Community of Park Rapids; Boy Scouts; and Norske Torske Klubben."
His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Macalester Plymouth United Church, St. Paul. Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 3 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home.
