Mendota Heights Mom of 3 Opens New Yoga and Fitness Business

There is a new yoga and group fitness studio in town. Key Fitness and Yoga was recently opened by Jennifer Feckey DiOttaviano, Mendota Heights mother of three. DiOttaviano developed and has been managing a flourishing yoga and group fitness program at Boltz’s Family Martial Arts Academy for over three years. In order to expand the offerings of the program, she recently purchased the fitness operation from Master Greg Boltz Bolton and reopened as Key Fitness and Yoga.

Family-owned and operated, Key Fitness and Yoga will stand apart from the area’s typical yoga and group fitness curriculums by offering the full scope of mind/body, cardiovascular and strength training options necessary for a balanced, healthy lifestyle in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

“There is a sense of community and camaraderie in a group fitness environment and this type of connection and support is the key to long-term success,” says DiOttaviano. “I am so excited to have the opportunity to offer quality yoga and group fitness programming in a convenient, family-friendly location with affordable prices. By offering payment options most families can afford, I hope to set the stage for a healthier, happier, more integrated community.” The company offers free two-week trials to anyone wishing to try out the classes. After the trial period, drop-in classes start at just $5 each and unlimited access memberships run only $40 per month for yoga and group fitness classes. One would be hard-pressed to find a more affordable option offering comparable high-quality yoga and group fitness classes.

The company’s tagline, “Find Your Fit Here,” applies to more than just physical fitness. DiOttaviano says, “Key Fitness and Yoga is a place for people from all walks of life to come together and really feel welcome. There is a perfect fit for everyone here.”

Key Fitness and Yoga is fortunate to have access to the clean, spacious training floors of Boltz's Family Martial Arts Academy. This prime rental space is designed for premium martial arts training which lends itself perfectly to the comfort, safety and durability required for the quality classes offered by Key Fitness and Yoga.

Expansions are planned to accommodate the growth of the martial arts school as well as house this innovative, new yoga and group fitness facility. Future plans also include a complete fitness gym for a well-rounded training experience and rooftop deck space for seasonal, outdoor yoga and group fitness classes. DiOttaviano is currently working with the well-known local martial arts school owner and his architects on the upcoming additions to the 780 South Plaza Drive property.

DiOttaviano has a background of nearly ten years in group fitness instruction with a focus in group fitness program development. In addition to the time she invests in growing Key Fitness and Yoga, she is employed by Boltz’s Family Martial Arts Academy as the Program Director/Community Outreach Coordinator.

Her passions are family, fitness and community. DiOttaviano can be found spending time with her family. She enjoys watching her teenage daughter performing with the local high school dance team, she practices Taekwondo as a Black Belt with her 10-year-old son, and she assists with reading and writing in her 8-year-old son's classroom. Jenni grew up in Mendota Heights and also attended the area's schools. She has strong roots in the Twin Cities and is excited to offer health and wellness to her neighbors in the community.
