A Festival of Carols

The Cathedral Music Series presents A Festival of Carols at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, sung by the Cathedral Choirs on Sunday, December 19 at 3 p.m.  The Festival will feature anthems, motets, and carols for choir and congregation, featuring the two historic pipe organs of the Cathedral, and violinists Michal and Elizabeth Sobieski of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.  

The Saint Cecilia Choir is the Cathedral's choral program for young singers ages 8 and up and uses the Royal School of Church Music Voice for Life curriculum.  The Cathedral Choir is the primary liturgical choir, is semi-professional, and specializes in Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony.  Lawrence Lawyer is Director and Organist for the concert.  Music of Victoria, Handl, Hassler and others, along with carols of the season.  Freewill offerings will be gratefully received.

This program will be repeated on Christmas Eve from 10:45 p.m. until midnight Mass.
