ISD 197 School Board Candidate Forum

With recruitment of talented and skilled workers being one of the top challenges facing the business community, governance of local school districts is vitally important. What are the most important credentials of a school board candidate? Governance experience? Familiarity with budgets? Vision? Passion? A track record working on behalf of schools and students? Accountability and student achievement? Businesses pay the largest share of the property tax base, supporting local schools and have a vested interest to ensure a future workforce that is well-prepared and equipped to be successful.

Join the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce for the Independent School District 197 (West Saint Paul, Mendota Heights, Eagan) School Board Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 29th from 7:30am to 9:00am at the Mendota Heights City Hall.

This is a great opportunity for community members to be actively involved in the political process regarding the ISD 197 School Board.

Four candidates are running for open seats:

  • John Chandler
  • Dewayne Dill
  • Matthew Klein
  • Stephanie Levine
