University of Minnesota Student Manages Exterior Painting Business in Mendota Heights

Mendota Heights, Minnesota - My name is Jake North and I am the local branch manager for College Works Painting in the Mendota Heights area. This upcoming summer I will be managing an exterior home painting business with a crew of skilled workers. College Works Painting hires college students like me to learn business skills through a hands-on internship running a branch of their business for the summer.

I am a college student at the University of Minnesota majoring in Applied Economics. Being awarded the Evans Scholarship has proven my work ethic and leadership skills that will help guide my business towards success. During the spring I will be working weekends marketing, and doing estimates for homeowners interested in painting. When school lets out for the summer, I will be in the full swing of my business; managing costs, hiring painters, painting homes, organizing payroll, and managing customer relations.

Many homeowners can benefit from my business by receiving the highest quality exterior paint work at an affordable price. Customer service is a top priority and ensures that work done on homes is a smooth and easy process.

College Works Painting, strives to provide highly motivated individuals with a premier hands-on leadership development experience in a safe, and profitable environment. Training and helping young entrepreneurs to manage their very own painting business, CWP gives them the chance to earn their way through school, while offering homeowners a smart, professional, affordable way to beautify and invest in their home.
