Community Corner

Community Conversation on Lakes

This is the third Community Conversation in a series to gather your input on ways to protect and improve four lakes in your area: Sunfish, Rogers, Pickerel, and Thompson.  At this third Community Conversation your help is needed to identify and prioritize strategies and messages that will encourage your neighbors to become active members of a lake-friendly community! At this meeting we will 1) hear from the leader of the Como Lake Neighbor Network that is making strides in engaging citizens and collaboratively improving the conditions in their lake, 2) further explore the results of last year’s survey of watershed residents, and 3) prioritize strategies for involving community members in water resources protection and improvement. This event is sponsored by the Lower Mississippi River Watershed Management Organization with grant funding from the Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment.
