5th Annual Community Carnival and Car Show

On Saturday, August 17, 2013, Boltz’s Family Martial Arts and Fitness will host its fifth annual Community Carnival and Car Show from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The event provides free and exciting games and activities for the entire family while raising funds for the Way of the Warrior Foundation.  Kids can enjoy endless fun all day, climbing the 30-foot rock wall, playing on a variety of inflatables and playing free carnival games.

Some of the fun includes a 60-foot long obstacle course, a jousting ring, a human-sized hamster ball, and a Velcro wall.Adults can enjoy free chair massages, wander through the car show, hosted by Downtown Beat Classics, and try some fitness demos to win prizes.

Amidst the fun and activity, Maveric Music will be spinning your favorite tunes.Food vendors will be on-sight selling delicious treats. Watch for Boca Chica’s fried tacos, Asian cuisine from the Wok on Wheels and a variety of other treats including hot dogs, roasted corn and snow cones.

Carnival-goers will also have the option to participate in various fundraisers for the Way of the Warrior Foundation; dunk some of the school’s Black Belts in the dunk tank, break some real wood boards in the break-a-thon or enter a raffle or two for lessons, birthday parties and camps.

The Way of the Warrior Foundation is an in-house non-profit foundation designed to raise money that will allow disadvantaged and at-risk children in the community (Mendota Heights and surrounding areas) the opportunity to participate in martial arts. The two biggest obstacles preventing these children from pursuing their dreams are a lack of opportunities and limited resources. This fundraiser will strive to provide both! Martial arts training for these children will help them develop a positive self-image, gain confidence, build character, increase strength as well as the resilience they need to overcome the barriers they encounter on the path to a successful future.
