Hold on to Your Hats—Wind Advisory in Effect for Tuesday

The National Weather Service recommends securing outdoor furniture.

In case you haven't noticed, it's blustery outside, so much so that the National Weather Service is encouraging residents in the Twin Cities area to take caution.

A wind advisory has been posted for Mendota Heights and the Twin Cities from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The wind will come with a cold front sweeping into the area Tuesday morning. Southwest winds could blow from 30-40 miles per hour with gusts to 50 mph. Objects left outside, such as trash cans and lawn furniture, could be blown around if not secured or taken into the garage.
