Visitation Grad Reads at Vatican Easter Vigil

Meghan Wenger was chosen for a reading at the Vatican in Rome.

alumna Meghan Wenger was not only present at the Vatican for the Mass of Easter Vigil last weekend, but read from the Bible as part of the service.

Meghan’s father, Brian, traveled from their home in St. Paul, MN to Rome, Italy for the Mass.

The Easter Vigil Mass is the first Easter service for many in the Christian faith and starts after sundown on Saturday. It begins the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ said in the Bible to take place the following Easter morning.

The Mass was led by Pope Benedict XVI. Wenger recited the second reading, Genesis chapter 22:1-18, in English.
