Viewfinder: Spring Arrives, Slow but Determined

The grass is greening, the sun is warming things up, wildflowers are beginning to bloom, songbirds seem a little less chilly and people are beginning to escape their winter hibernation.

Spring isn't so much leaping out at Minnesotans this year, rather it's a slow creep. Some days it's a step or two forward and others a step back.

Still, day by day, the signs of spring are beginning to bloom. The days are getting longer, grass is turning a vivid green, trees are budding and wild flowers are appearing. Home gardens and gardeners are beginning to rally. Songbirds and animals are shaking off the winter chills. And as it warms up, jogging, bike riding and walking the dog are a lot more fun.

The weather the next three days seems to encapsulate this Minnesota April.  Friday is expected to be in the sixties and mostly sunny with thunderstorms at night. Saturday's weather prediction calls for fifties and showers. The sun may peak out again on Sunday, with a high in the low 50s.
