Viewfinder: Mendota Heights Trucks 'n' Travel Event Draws Kids of All Ages

Fire engines, police cars and big rigs of all sorts were on-hand to be explored in annual event.

Kids of all ages—including a few curious grown-up kids—got to peak inside police cars, fire engines, school buses and assorted big rigs at the annual Trucks 'n' Travel event June 15 at Henry Sibley High School.

Participants got to sit in most of the rigs and ask questions of the firefighters, police officers and drivers who operate the service cars and trucks.

The Teddy Bear Band was on hand to provide music, and drew quite a crowd of young dancers after they tired of exploring the vehicles.
