Viewfinder: Summer Says Goodbye, Finally

It's not too late to photograph the fall season.

Fall has been tricky in Mendota Heights and the surrounding area this year.

Days have been balmy and then chilly, and the peak fall colors have been elusive. Many of the brillant early turners had their leaves blown off last weekend's windy days. 

One trick to getting great fall colors is to go early in the day, or late. Sunrise and sunset are when the light is the best and the colors their most vivid.
