Get Out ... and Explore the Mendota Heights Area June 3-5

A night of arts, outdoor music, and of course the annual Mendota Heights Park Celebration await you.

 1.)

When/Where: 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 3/ Town Square, 1953 Oak St, Mendota Heights

Why Go: Kick back and enjoy an evening of outdoor music for families in a familiar setting.

2.)

When/Where: 10 a.m.- 1 p.m., June 4/ , 2000 Mendakota Dr, Mendota Heights  

Why Go: The annual Mendota Heights shindig kicks off early this Saturday.  Expect live music, animals, fire truck rides and activities. The Mendota Heights Fire Department is raffling off a Trek road bike package to benefit the Mendota Heights Fire Relief Association.

Pricing: Free to attend. Raffle tickets are $10

 

3.)

When/Where: 9 a.m., Saturday, June 4/ The Village of Mendota Heights, race begins at Main Street and Market Street  

Why Go: All race proceeds go to the Special Olympics. Awards go to the first three male and female runners in each of three age categories. If you’re already registered, you can pick up your race packet June 3 at City Hall.

Price: $20 before 6 p.m. on June 3 and $25 day of the race.

 

4.) Northern Spark Art Festival

When/Where: 8:55 p.m.-5:28 a.m., June 4- 5/ locations throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul, many centered along the Mississippi River

Why Go: Night owls can explore art installations starting Saturday night and into the wee hours of Sunday at this event, billed as the first “nuit blanche” (white night, sleepless night) event in Minnesota.

Price: Free admission. Complementary shuttles will be available between the different participating areas.

 

5.) Flint Hills International Children's Festival

When/ Where: a.m. to 5 p.m. June 4-5/ 345 Washington St., Saint Paul

Why Go: This festival for children, hosted by the Ordway, offers up puppets, dance, music, theater, acrobatics and crafts to delight and celebrate the children in your life.

Pricing: All outdoor activities are free; shows inside the Ordway are $5.
