1.) Movies for Kids

Why Go: Cinema lovers of all ages, especially the little ones, will love this series of short flicks that are based on literature.

2.)
When/Where: 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 23/ Holland Lake Picnic Shelter at , 860 Cliff Rd, Eagan
Why Go: Get closer to nature by learning how to safely hike without those big, heavy boots separating your toes from the dirt below. Ages 6 and older.
Pricing: $5, registration required.
3.) Capitol Art and Artists Tour
When/Where: 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23/ Minnesota State Capitol, 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, St. Paul
Why Go: Hey, the shutdown is over. Now that we’re all disillusioned, perhaps some inspirational images and historical grounding is in order.
Pricing: $8 adults, $7 seniors and college students, $5 ages 6-17; $2 discount for MHS members. Reservations required, call 651-296-2881
4.)
When/Where: 7-9 p.m. Saturday, July 23 / , 2983 145th St W, Rosemount
Why Go: It’s Leprauchan Days in Rosemount, and plenty of music is planned. Bring a picnic blanket and friends to enjoy local musicians Saturday night. Also scheduled, square dancing on Friday, and gospel on Sunday afternoon.

When/Where: 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24/ Caponi Art Park, 1220 Diffley Rd, Eagan
Why Go: Learn what a gamelan orchestra is, and experience the sounds as they meld with choreography from an Indonesian dance troupe in this outdoor space.
Pricing: Free. A donation of $4 is suggested.
