2011 Year in Review: December's Top Stories on Mendota Heights Patch

Mendota Heights Patch takes a look back at the most memorable stories from December 2011.

It was a night to get a groove on as Hill-Murray hosted the Classic Suburban Conference championship meet on Thursday evening in Maplewood. 

After two-plus hours of competition,  came away with the overall conference crown—earning the title in a tiebreaker by just three points after accounting for all Classic Suburban meets this season.

Hanukkah began Tuesday night, marking eight nights of celebration for followers of Judaism. The Jewish holiday marks a military victory over the Greeks and the reclamation of the holy temple in Jerusalem during the 2nd century BCE.

Adults and children from throughout the metro, including students at Talmud Torah in St. Paul and members of  in Mendota Heights, gathered Wednesday night for a celebration.

 

One of the newest business owners in town has brought with her a touch of modern apparel science to accompany her designs.
