Don posts George Washington's Thanksgiving Day Proclamation

History is always something to ponder.  This proclamation was issued at the prompting of Congress in 1789.  Enjoy. (Library of Congress link here)

I am thankful that the U.S. Constitution deliniates the very important separation between chruch and state and that the government must be neutral among religions and nonreligion: it cannot promote, endorse, or fund religion or religious institutions.

We have eaten here twice now and both times, the food and service have been awesome! I'm a sushiRead More lover so I'm thrilled to have a Japanese restaurant so close to home. If you don't like sushi, there are lots of other options as well - the other night we tried the veggie gyoza appetizer and were really impressed!
