Mendota Lights at the Village Planned for Saturday

The seventh annual event will feature shopping, tree lighting and Santa Claus.

The Village at Mendota Heights is planning to kick off the holiday season in a big way Saturday with its seventh annual Mendota Lights at the Village event.

The yearly event features holiday special at the Village’s retailers, as well as holiday-themed event.

The schedule include:

• All day—Holiday specials at shops
• 4-7 p.m.—Free hayrides and facepainting, a visit from Santa and strolling Dickens Carolers

• 5-5:30 p.m.—Tree lighting and guest appearances by the Visitation Choir, Connie Evingson and Mayor Sandra Krebsbach.
