Dakota County Regional Chamber's WomEn's Conference on March 14

The DCR Chamber is hosting its third annual WomEn's Conference at Lost Spur Golf and Event Center in Eagan.

The Dakota County Regional (DCR) Chamber of Commerce is hosting their third annual WomEn’s Conference on March 14, 2013 at Lost Spur Golf and Event Center in Eagan, Minnesota.  Their mission is simple, to connect women and enrich their personal and professional lives by providing the tools and resources to fulfill their aspirations.

This event will feature keynote speaker, Jennifer “JJ” Schaidler, breakout speakers, Anne Pryor and Kathleen Crandall, closing panel of “Women to Watch” and a wine tasting reception.  A marketplace of businesses offering their products and services related to Energizing, Educating and Empowering women will also be available to participants.

Jennifer “JJ” Schaidler is a Senior Executive with expertise in retail merchandising, sales and marketing with extensive knowledge in the consumer electronics, mobile, entertainment and digital content segments. As a broadly skilled business leader, she is known for deconstructing complex business problems and for crafting and then executing strategies to capitalize on market opportunities. JJ’s program will focus on “Maximizing Your Career Path.” She will address how to do more work while accomplishing your goals, how to ask for a promotion and how to be self-aware of your core skill sets and talents.

Anne Pryor and Kathleen Crandall will lead our breakout sessions on networking and branding. Anne and Kathleen founded “Meaningful Connections” in 2008.  They have coached and taught more than 40.000 people to assess, understand, and communicate their brands both on and offline for great business development and career opportunities. Anne’s program “Connecting Through Networking” will give attendees the practical steps to making meaningful networking connections from strategic to tactful implementation during a hands on session. Kathleen will lead a session on “Leveraging Your Personal Brand in Business and Life” designed to help you learn how to consistently communicate “what you are known for” through your image, your brand voice and the experience of knowing or working with you.

The “Women to Watch” panel consists of Beth Krehbiel, chief executive of Fairview Ridges Hospital, Jennifer Smith, co-founder of Innovative Office Solutions and Theresa Wise, senior vice president and chief information officer of Delta Airlines. These prominent and influential business women will share their secrets of success, how to achieve higher positions, access leadership roles, accomplish career goals and balance professional and personal lives.  

Multiple local businesses have already offered to provide financial support to the event by sponsorship, including Fairview Ridges Hospital, Home Federal, Thomson Reuters, Anchor Bank, Ecolab, Sun Thisweek, Dakota Electric Association, DanburyIT, TruStone Financial Credit Union, Gateway Bank, Wings Financial and Xcel Energy.
