Add your voice to stop Xcel from putting $50 million into prolonging the life of the Sherco Power Plant. This is the most polluting plant in MN and has been cited by the EPA as one of the worst in the country. In 2010 this plant emitted 13.6 million tons of C02. Write/email the MN Public Utilities Commission and direct them to deny Xcel a permit to keep this plant going. Urge them to have Xcel replace this plant with a mix of clean, renewable energy (and not natural gas).
