Mendota Heights Actor in Play About Hans Christian Andersen

'Dreams of a Cobbler's Son' includes more than 30 artists from the Twin Cities.

A Mendota Heights actor will appear in "Dreams of a Cobbler's Son" in mid-August at The Performance Space at Wellstone Center.

Ana Keller-Flores will perform in the Young Artists Initiative's production from Aug. 15-18, according to a news release from the YAI.

"Dreams of a Cobbler's Son" "imagines the childhood inspiration of Andersen’s most famous stories, including 'The Little Mermaid,' 'The Emperor’s New Clothes,' 'The Ugly Duckling,' 'The Steadfast Tin Soldier,' and 'The Little Matchstick Girl,'" according to the news release. 

The performances will be:

  • 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15
  • 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16
  • 2 p.m. ("pay-what-you-can performance") and 7:30 p.m. (American Sign Language interpreted) Saturday, Aug. 17 
  • 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18
