Pet of the Week: 'Foxy the Tarrier' Adores People, Kids

Foxy adores all the people she meets and is very good with young kids.

Editor's note: This is a weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Dakota County animal rescues.

Foxy is an adorable little terrier mix who weighs in at 33 pounds. She adores all the people she meets and is very good with young kids. She just wants to be next to her person and cuddle up to whoever will pet her.

Foxy sleeps right through the night either in a crate or tucked in with one of the kids. Foxy is house trained and is crate trained. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves chasing squirrels and other creatures in the fenced yard. She does get along with cats too as there are several in her foster home.

Foxy does require a fenced yard and would be great with a stay at home mom and kids or another dog if her human works outside the home. Foxy will be very devoted to her new family and would love to have someone around much of the time.

She is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. Please read her webpage in detail for her vet information and adoption fee and criteria. The criteria are developed to help ensure a good match between dogs and families:
