Have questions? Read on:

I think I’m interested, but I’m not sure if I can post every day. Is that a problem?

While we would love writers to post regularly, there are no requirements for how long or how frequent blog posts must be. Every couple of hours, every other week, and any schedule in between is fine.

What about video or photographs? Can I post those on my blog?

Yes and yes.

I’m a high school student. Can I blog?

Absolutely. If you are a developing writer and have something to say about the community, speak up and let us know you’re interested.

I want to promote my business on a blog. Is that OK?

Those whose main focus is profit-driven will likely not be selected for a Mendota Heights Patch blog.

I know a little bit about a lot that’s going on in town. Do I have to be an expert?

Sounds like you’re an expert at being a local resident! If you want to post your observations, highlights from the community’s activities, or favorite places to enjoy a sunny/rainy/snowy day in your city, let us know.

I’m an expert in a particular field that impacts our community. Can I just blog about my specialty?

Absolutely. There are plenty of talented, knowledgeable people in town, and we’d love to hear from you about your field. Are you a master gardener? AM radio enthusiast? Night sky guru? Government wonk? Sign up! Patch offers great exposure for your ideas and information.
