Egg Hunts in the Twin Cities South Metro for Easter 2013

From Burnsville to Inver Grove Heights to Shakopee, there are a variety of egg hunts and spring related events happening throughout the south metro this weekend.

As the Easter holiday draws near and spring is just around the corner, communities throughout the south metro are preparing for egg hunts and spring related activities.

Here’s a rundown of some of the events this weekend. Did we miss an event? Be sure to add the information to comments below! Please make sure to note – some events do have a fee and require pre-registration. Activities and fees are subject to change by organizer.

Burnsville

Easter Egg Hunt
When:
10 a.m. March 30
Where:
South Metro Vineyard Church in Burnsville
Who:
Children from age 2 to fifth grade
Details:
Register at 10 a.m., outdoor hunt at 10:30 a.m.

West St. Paul

Egg Scramble
When:
9:30 a.m. March 30
Where:
Thompson Park Dakota Lodge, 1200 Stassen Lane, West St. Paul
Details:
The celebration will include the EASTER BUNNY, a PETTING ZOO (weather permitting) and entertainment from the WONDERFUL WORLD OF WOODY to perform at 9:45. There will be Prize Drawings, egg scramble & more.

Shakopee

Victorian Easter Egg Roll
When:
12 p.m. March 30
Where:
The Landing – Minnesota River Heritage Park, 2187 Highway 101 East, in Shakopee
Cost:
$5 to $6
Details:
Celebrate with the family! Make your own miniature basket and decorate a wooden egg. Activities include an egg and spoon race, bunny hop relay and an authentic egg roll. Join in some playtime with old-fashioned toys and games, and explore the banks of the Minnesota River Valley. Refreshments will be served in the Town Hall. Bring your camera! Enter park through the West Entrance. Reservations required.

Bloomington

Easter Egg Hunt at Totally Kids

: 2 p.m. March 30
Where
: 7876 Portland Ave S, Minneapolis
Details
: There will be games, face-painting, refreshments and free prizes all day long - PLUS from 2:00-3:00 PM we will be hosting the annual Easter egg hunt in our enormous showroom.

Northfield

Annual Easter Egg Hunt
When:
9:30 a.m. March 30
Where:
St John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield
Who:
Children up to 5th grade
Details:
Make sure to bring a basket or bag for collecting eggs and feel free to bring a friend.

VFW Easter Hunt

When: 8:45 a.m., March 30
Where
: Manitou Stadium, 1520 Saint Olaf Ave, in Northfield
Who
: Children up to age 12
Details
: Held in the practice fields right outside Manitou Stadium at ST. Olaf College.

Inver Grove Heights

Easter Egg Hunt

When: 9:30 a.m., March 31
Where
: Veterans Memorial Community Center, 8055 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights
Details
: New Heights Community Church is hosting a free community Easter breakfast at 9:00 am at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.  There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children at 9:30 am.
