Christmas in Mendota Heights: What's Open, What's Closed?

Mendota Heights mostly shuts down for Christmas, but you can still find some services open on Christmas Eve. What follows is a partial list of what is open and what is closed.

GOVERNMENT
Mendota Heights Heights City Hall will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, in observance of Christmas.

Westworth Library, Wescott Library and the rest of Dakota County Library locations are closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.

The United States Post Office will be open on Dec. 24. The retail lobby at most locations will close at noon, according to USPS.com. Regular mail delivery will not be affected. Post offices will be closed on Dec. 25.

SCHOOLS
School District 197 will be closed for the holiday from Monday, Dec. 24, to Tuesday, Jan. 1. Classes resume Wednesday, Jan. 2.

TRANSIT
• Metro Transit will provide reduced service on Dec. 24. Most routes will follow Saturday schedules. Click here for more route information.

• Minnesota Valley Transit Authority will operate a special reduced service on Dec. 24. Click here for more information.

BANKS AND OTHER BUSINESSES
• Banks will be closed on Dec. 25. Call for hours on Christmas Eve.

• Most business close early on Dec. 24 and remain closed on Dec. 25. Check our business directory to get the phone numbers of businesses to call for hours.
