Here are some general questions.
The 30+ year credit bubble/binge has stopped. It is the "new normal" and not the post-WWII period where the US was only country left standing OR the 90s when we had explosive productivity gains from computers and the Internet.
The initial cause of the recession after the bubble triggered by most of us. Wall Street, fannie/freddie, homes as ATMs, etc. Glass Steagal was repealed under Clinton and Gore began some gov't red-tape cutting (before focusing on global warming) and Bush continued.
Here we are? High unemployment, high underemployment, more working harder than ever yet facing ever increasing taxes while seeing enormous deficits while bridges, roads, schools, failing.
What's your plan?
Hint: We need to raise revenue through tax reform (making much simpler) and exchange for reforming Congress, military spending, civil service (have you tried dealing with a fed gov't employee lately?), AND LONG TERM ENTITLEMENTS. Just google "CBO entitlement projections" or read Alice Rivlin's groups site.
We need leadership. Period.
