My favorite: Jimmy Stewart, especially in his role as caring banker Geroge Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life." He wasn't just a friendly banker -- his work was as vital to the community good as soldiers defending our freedom, teachers inspiring our kids and doctors protecting our health.

And so it is today; a good bank or credit union is a vital part of financial prosperity, offering a hand with everything from buying that first house to providing a comfortable retirement.
