A World War II and Holocaust museum popped up at Friendly Hills Middle School last Friday with the help of the eight-grade class.
Eighth-grade social studies and language arts students presented a multitude of displays as well as student-made movies showcasing information about WWII and the Holocaust. Topics ranged from modern-day genocide issues to Japanese internment camps.
The "Days of Remembrance" for Holocaust awareness has been designated by Congress as the week of April 19.
Parents and students from other grades were invited to visit the "museum" to learn more about the research and reading done by students.
