Tuesday Morning Leaves Mendota Plaza

Custom Professional Upholstery from St. Paul is scheduled to take over part of the former closeout home goods store.

Tuesday Morning, a retailer of discounted home goods, has closed their doors at Mendota Plaza.

Custom Professional Upholstery, a St. Paul business that was established on Grand Avenue in 1979, is planning to move into part of the Tuesday Morning space. They are scheduled to open in April.

Tuesday Morning did not renew their lease, which expired Feb. 15.

"Tuesday Morning is very opportunistic in its real estate, and we are always looking at other opportunities in the market," said a spokesperson for Tuesday Morning.

The separation was described as "mutually beneficial," by a spokesperson from Paster.

A grand opening for Custom Professional Upholstery is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16 from 3-7 p.m.
