Just a reminder that Rick Hansen was one of the legislators who, upon shutting down the government, decided that he deserved to continue being paid, even while all those other government employees went without pay. Now that's leadership!

Rick Hansen was one of the few House members working at the capitol during the shutdown. He worked with other House members to resolve the situation. He also worked for his constituents, resolving issues like getting licenses. He did not take per diem pay.
That is why I work to get Rick re-elected. He works tirelessly for his constituents. Now that IS leadership!

I have been impressed with Mr. Hansen's availability and willingness to listen to constituents. He attends in Dakota County Regional Chamber events and has never said no when asked to participate in community events. I used to think legislators have a defined time in session, but Mr Hansen attends meetings year-round. He understands business, agriculture, environmental issues, educational issues. He puts in a lot of hours that are not compensated. I appreciate that kind of leadership.
