Graduates of the Convent of the Visitation School received their diplomas in a tradition-rich graduation ceremony Sunday in Mendota Heights.
Students at Visitation wear white dresses as well as the school's crescent pendant on a ribbon to receive their diplomas.
The crescent is a symbol of Saint Francis de Sales. De Sales founded the Visitation Order with Saint Jane de Chantal in 1610. His teachings are integral to the Catholic education received at Visitation.
