Feb. 6

A driver at managed to have a fender-bender with an unoccupied school bus, causing only slight damage to the driver’s vehicle and no damage to the bus.

Mail stolen from the 2300 block of Rogers Avenue was found the next day by a resident at Marie Avenue and Ridgewood Drive.

A domestic disturbance call in Mendota resulted in one man being charged with criminal damage to property. 

Feb. 2

Four handheld game systems were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at Henry Sibley High School.

A property owner on the 600 block of Highway 13 reported that a car had swerved off the road and taken out four of his landscaping shrubs.

Jan. 31

A gas drive-off was reported at the in Lilydale, but the license plate information from a witness did not match the description of the vehicle.

A backpack and its contents were found scattered along Lilydale Road.  Police found identifying information in the backpack and tracked down the owner, who said the backpack had been stolen in Crosby Park less than an hour before it was found.

Jan. 30

A resident of William Court reported several fraudulent charges on a bank account.

A solicitor without a permit was cited on the 800 block of Cheri Lane. 

Jan. 29

Police approached two juveniles walking along Highway 13 after curfew. Both were drunk. They were taken to the station, cited and released to a parent.

A drunk driver found himself stopped on the side of Dodd Road with considerable damage to his car and an officer to explain himself to. 

Jan. 27

A woman reported receiving text messages indicating she was being watched.

A resident on the 1000 block of Chippewa Avenue reported that two cars had been rummaged through overnight. Items had been taken from one of them.

A driver stopped on Interstate 35E for speeding and a broken light was found to possess synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Jan. 26

An officer checking a vehicle in violation of the overnight parking ordinance on Apache Court found it was sporting plates that had been impounded for DWI.

A man riding his bicycle on Lexington after dark without any lights was “pulled over.” The man had an active felony warrant.

Jan. 25

A car parked on Cheyenne Lane had accumulated a number of overnight parking tickets and had been plowed around. The car was about to be towed when the owner finally showed up to move it, explaining that she thought leaving the tickets on the window would discourage further citations.

Jan. 24

A driver on the 2400 block of Lexington blew by a school bus stop arm by passing in the ditch.

Jan. 23

A backpack left behind at was reported missing.  No attempt to return the backpack had been made, despite identifying information in the contents.
