Editor's Note: Patch is joining forces with Town Square Television to provide coverage of the 2012 elections in northern Dakota County. 

Are you an arm-chair political analyst or simply want to be an informed citizen?

Town Square Television (TST) will be hosting a candidate's forum on Wednesday, Sept. 5, for local government candidates from Sunfish Lake, Lilydale and Mendota.

The Sunfish Lake mayor and city council forums will run from 7-7:30 p.m. The Lilydale candidate forums will follow from 8-8:30 p.m. and the Mendota candidate forums will run from 9-9:30 p.m.

The forums are hosted by NDC4, TST and the River Heights Chamber of Commerce. 

Whether you watch the forum live on Channel 14, or stream the forum on the Town Square Television link, join the conversation we'll be having here on Mendota Heights Patch.

We'll also be fielding questions from blog commenters, as well as from Twitter and Facebook. Just post your question on our Facebook page, or tweet @MendotaHtsPatch and be sure to include the hashtag #TSTforumQ.

A few questions will be selected to pose to the candidates. 

Live blog coverage on Patch will kick off 15 minutes prior to showtime; live coverage on TST will begin at 6:55 p.m.
