Candidates for city office in Mendota Heights, Mendota and Lilydale can file their Affidavit of Candidacy starting today.

The filing period for these races without a primary runs through 5 p.m. Aug. 14.

There are no elections for District 197 School Board in 2012.

Mayor (two-year term) held by Sandra Krebsbach

Council seats (four-year term) held by Mike Povolny and Jack Vitelli

Council seats (four-year term) held by Marilyn Lundberg and Warren Peterson

Mayor (two-year term) held by Brian Mielke

Council seats (four-year term) held by Joan Perron and Alan Ralston
