Jewell J. Popek, 97, of West St. Paul—beloved mother, grandma and great-grandma—passed away Dec. 30, 2012. Retired long-term employee of Burlington Northern Railroad. Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley. Survived by children, Stephanie Herman, Mike (Joy) Popek and Julie (Bruce) Wyatt; grandchildren, Toni Wyatt, Becky (Robert) Graham, Brooke Herman, Valerie (John) Kopp & Joseph, Matthew and Christopher Popek; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial Service 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at West Funeral Home, 1051 So. Robert St., West. St. Paul, with a gathering beginning at 9 a.m. Inurnment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
