Allina Health Rally for Stage Four Breast Cancer Survivors
Allina Health invites people with stage four breast cancer, their loved ones and caregivers to Celebrating Ordinary, Saturday, Oct. 27, 7:30 a.m. to noon, at the University of Minnesota Continuing Education and Conference Center, 1890 Buford Ave., St. Paul, MN 55108.
Celebrating Ordinary is a free seminar presented by the cancer programs of Allina Health and features nationally recognized authors Henry Emmons, MD, integrative psychiatrist, and Rachael Freed, LICSW, marriage and family therapist. The event is not limited to Allina Health patients; all people with advanced breast cancer are welcome.
Emmons, author of "The Chemistry of Joy and The Chemistry of Calm," will discuss restoring serenity, even joy, when life is difficult by blending neuroscience with ancient traditions. Freed, founder of Life-Legacies, will discuss the importance of identifying and celebrating legacies.
Because of support from the Minnesota Affiliate of Susan G. Komen Foundation, the program is free of charge and includes parking, continental breakfast and materials. Space is limited and registration is required. For more information or to register, call 612-863-5310.
